About the rental bicycle system

CycloCity

Already in 1999, the development of JCDecauxs bike sharing system CycloCity started by JCDecauxs own engineers at the headquarters outside Paris.

In 2003 the first cycle systems was installed in Vienna, Cordoba and Gijon and in 2005 it started up in Lyon. After that the system has been expanded gradually to Brussels, Paris, Dublin, Toyama and many more cities. Today there are 47,000 bikes in the world and there are 3,800 stations.

At a cycle implementations in a city plan JCDecaux together with the municipality new environmentally friendly and healthy way for residents to get around. Some of the advantages of the system is that it helps to combat environmental pollution, reduce travel times and encourages people to exercise.
